Cartoon is based on the documentary 'No Place To Call Home' on BBC 2 which featured St Elisabeth's church in the Barking and Dagenham borough of London which is due to open its night shelter for the homeless this November according to their website. Published in the Barking and Dagenham Post 2-9 November page 29. Can be found in the e-edition.
My first poetry performance in front of an audience of about 60. I read 'The Yellow Bellies of Lincolnshire' which is currently up on the wall of the award winning 'The Crispy Biscuit' tearoom and I also read 'Invasion of the Pumpkins' which has twice been published by the Louth Leader.
Bookmarks will be available for free from my presentation table at the Trinity Centre, Louth on the 18th October. At this event I will be reading some of my own poetry to celebrate National Poetry Day and as part of the Wolds Words festival. My You Tube account is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXq-Zrqh4TA
