The Ghost of Economic Future. Cartoon inspired by the premonition visitations in 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. The second cartoon has had an 'ink stamp' effect put on it which I quite like - not too sure where the stars have come but the night sky background works for this cartoon. The cyber mermaid has morphed into a tree decoration.

I will eventually return to making my own very brief notes on the cartoons. I had originally intended for the cartoon blog to help publicize my book ( The Cyber Memaid ) and to stay within the premise of satirizing online dating. However, I now feel the need to satirize whatever is worth my attention and hence some of the cartoons don't always follow on neatly from each other.
Through the cartoon blog she is becoming a true 'cyber' mermaid...

20th Sept 2011 Went on a trip with Melvyn Grovenor from the 'Nowag' action group and 2 local parish councillors to compare what the eye can see with the photographic montages that have been created by a Lincolnshire Wind Farm company at various view points around Lincolnshire to help promote their case for more wind farms to be erected.

We examined 10 viewpoints and found an additional 4 that were worthy of a montage. There were a few view points where 2 and even 3 sets of wind farms were visible to the eye even on a drizzly overcast day. http://lincolnshirewindfarms.blogspot.com/ for poem and pics

3 Nov Have prepared some basic interview notes, some background notes and some detailed notes on the dating diary. Technical issues are causing the delay - who knows how many variations of a rich text file document there are ! Am number one for 'Dating Diary' in google web search.

4th Nov while my actual dating diary manuscript dates and ages due to technical issues etc, I am busy with all of my plots and plans. My character goes on abit of a journey within the cartoon blog. I am having so much fun with it I might as well forget about the dating diary and just do the cartoon blog !!!

12 July. Waiting for the diary to be processed. It might need a second revision. Only 3 people have read the diary.
27 July. There has been a slight delay with the publishing of the diary. Should be out in about two weeks. I won't be posting anymore eflyers until the book is in my hands. Have done 3 interviews so far. Writing interview notes is not my favourite form of writing but I shall learn to love it. Am also working on some watercolour visuals to accompany the diary - the visuals worry me more than the text.

6 August. Still waiting for the covers to be processed.

10 August. Covers are now finalized. Had to come up with some chapter titles overnight to create abit of spacing inside the diary. I need to bring the diary up to 48 pages to keep the cost of production down. It was a choice between providing some black and white images or creating chapter titles. I quite like the chapter titles that I have chosen.

1 May 2010. Am still not convinced by any of the 3 major parties. Am tempted to vote for the Green Party.
Am currently without the internet at home - error 678 - so it could be anything. Back online in two weeks - hopefully my dating diary script will be ready by then.
7th May No Green party option where I live. Am still disconnected from the internet at home. I found out yesterday that I can't use my own illustrations for the front and back covers of the dating diary. On the plus side, the diary will be published quickly.

14 May Still more to do on the text for the dating diary but the bulk is now done. Am also busy trying to decide between two visuals for the front cover. One is colourful and the other one, just one colour. Am thinking more and more about the publicity side of things. I am not looking forward to going cold turkey when all this Alice in Wonderland mania finally subsides. Everyday I am feasting and drip-feeding my imagination with all things Alice. Unwitting Leaks to My Vampire Diarist

I like this blog title so I guess I had better write the post to go with it. I found out only two days ago that my long-distant friend and phone-buddy has been secretly notetaking my side of our conversations for the last 3 months. They have been ringing me up throughout the day to find out what I have been doing : what I eat for breakfast ( profiteroles ) ; who I talk to online ( everyone ) ; details of my dating-diary-in-progress ( see below ) - all information to give to the tabloid press once I am established in my career. Although to be honest, so much of my life is now online, I should think I will get there first.

2nd Jan 2010. I know what's going into the dating diary but there is still the hard work of structuring it. There will be visuals to accompany the diary but apart from the front and back covers, I will do these after the publication of the diary. I will have to charge a fee to read the diary - a necessity I'm afraid - but I will try and keep it affordable. I would prefer for it to be accessible to many rather than a few. For the moment, my publicity campaign will be online.
3rd Jan. Am having to meditate alot lately in order to rest and refresh my mind and help to control my financial fears. Am in the midst of a personal transformation...

Living without 'The Mitchells'

12 Nov 09. It has now been about a month that I have been living without a television. I only had 4 and a half channels to choose from anyway, as my digibox sat in its box, awaiting a decent arial. It isn't just the adverts that constantly brainwash you into buying products, but television itself, telling you, demanding you, to watch more of it. Have now cancelled my tv license and am enjoying the quiet nights. I have enough stress in my life - I certainly don't need the Mitchells in my life right now, nor the Beales, nor the Butchers, or any of them from Corrie. And maybe if I work hard enough, I might actually have a life ! At least my thoughts are starting to feel my own.
16 Nov. Everyone I have spoken to thinks I must be insane to be living without a television. I have never felt more sane in my whole life !!! What's more, I am back inside my own life.

Strong visions

30 Oct 09. My tv has busted so I am going without one. I am receiving strong visions for my 'orwellian trilogy' - alot of scary stuff - although it's all closely related to reality.

'Jane Air is set to put the frighteners on her readers with her Orwellian trilogy' available 2015.

I have lately been thinking about the whole nature of cyber-relationships and what live chat rooms are all about. I now realize that I hardly have any time leftover for relationships as I'm far too busy with my biggest cyber-relationship of them all -

6th August. Am supposed to be writing my heartbreak diary blog but as my creative and publicity levels are high at the moment I am taking advantage of them.

My poetry will be connected with this year's 'Cleethorpes in Bloom' - will keep you posted on this nearer the time.

Had a publication today by Forward Press. 'The Christmas Binge' will be included in the anthology 'The Chessboard Of Life', to be published on 31 October 2009.

I have also been spending time in nature, when the weather permits me. Have written a new nature poem today, posted at my local media blog spot and over at My Telegraph, in the creative writing section and, of course, a posting of it here...
